We are the Alliance
The Alliance for the Resilient Information Society is a network of civil society organizations. It was founded in 2024 by betterplace lab together with CORRECTIV, More in Common, Publix and BUCERIUS LAB. Other current partners are SPREUWEIZEN, futur eins, and Das NETTZ. The alliance creates a strategic thinking space for these organizations to collectively work towards a resilient information society.

Our Objectives
The Alliance for a Resilient Information Society is dedicated to three core objectives:
Understanding and outlining the resilient information society
The resilient information society is a vision for the future. We want to understand what constitutes a resilient information society and develop perspectives for dealing with and accessing information that will endure even in times of crisis.
Connecting and synchronizing knowledge and actors
The Alliance networks civil society organizations that contribute to a resilient information society and brings them into an exchange with experts from other sectors. It is always open to new members, perspectives and thematic focuses. In this way, more impact can be achieved through continuously shared knowledge and strategic synergies.
Creating orientation and making knowledge visible
We want to make expertise and practical contributions to a resilient information society visible and accessible in our stakeholder map and beyond. In this way, we want to provide orientation in the complex and dynamic situation surrounding the social handling of information.
When working together within the alliance, we strive for open dialog, the ability to compromise and sensitivity to existing power relations.
In a co-creative process, this results in trusting collaboration, new approaches and strategic synergies. We also make our work transparent to the outside world and create opportunities for participation.
The Alliance sees itself as an independent voice of civil society. Its focus is on the preservation and creation of a functioning democracy, beyond party lines.
