“Journalismus macht Schule” has been a registered, non-profit association since 2022. With tips and tools for the classroom, they want to help impart media knowledge and practical skills. Journalismus macht Schule has set itself the task of supporting teachers in teaching information and news skills. The association brings together representatives from editorial offices, journalism schools and universities, from teacher training and media education, as well as media institutions and institutions of political education to form a nationwide network to fulfill this task. The aim is to turn pupils into competent actors in the democratic public sphere through a coordinated and sustained effort by journalists and teachers.
