The Bonn Institute is a non-profit training and networking organization with the mission of using journalism in Germany as a tool for a more democratic society. To this end, they are guided by the characteristics of “constructive journalism”: it is future- and solution-oriented, rich in perspective and allows for constructive debate. People are shown a variety of perspectives, which encourages them to act independently. In order to spread constructive journalism, the Bonn Institute offers numerous events and training courses for journalists and editorial teams, as well as anyone else who is interested.
