The Center for Monitoring, Analysis and Strategy (CeMAS) is a non-profit institute in Berlin. Since its foundation in 2021, CeMAS has been researching current developments on the topics of conspiracy ideologies, disinformation, anti-Semitism and right-wing extremism on central digital platforms. The aim is to create innovative analyses and recommendations for action based on this research in order to actively counter (future) anti-democratic tendencies. CeMAS makes its monitoring and research work available to actors from civil society, journalism and politics and advises them on further steps. Results published so far include a current, detailed inventory of the Q-Anon conspiracy narrative in German-speaking countries as well as reports on the anti-democratic protest potential during the coronavirus pandemic and on conspiracy beliefs surrounding the war in Ukraine.
